The Journal of Monetary and Financial Economics (former: journal of knowledge and development), only publishes specialized articles on monetary and financial economics issues.

Journal History

In January 1991, the department committee of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FUM) planned to start a journal and in 1992, after introducing the chief editor, managing director and the editorial board, the journal started. On 2/7/73, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Mahdavi Adeli officially requested the publishing license from the Culture and Islamic Guidance Office in Mashhad, and on 10/8/1377, the publication license numbered (10352/124) was issued. The first issue of the Journal of Knowledge and Development was released in February 1994 and in May 2004 the journal could obtain a scientific degree from the Scientific Review commission of MSRT.  A numerous articles in economics, management, political science, accounting and law in Iran and world have been published by the journal over the past twenty years. For specializing journals in accordance with the enactment of the esteemed commission of reviewing scientific journals, the Journal of Knowledge and Development divided into 3 scientific journals:Journal of Economics and Regional Development, editor in chief: Dr. Mostafa SalimiffarJournal of Monetary and Financial Economics, editor in chief: Dr. Mahmood HoshmandJournal Encyclopedia of Economic Law, editor in chief: Dr. Abdolreza Javan Jafari Bojnordi   This journal is published in collaboration with the Iranian Commerce Association. 

Publication Fee

The authors whose articles are accepted must pay a fee of 2,000,000 Rial to the University Vice president for Research and Technology (payment is online) for editing and publishing expenses.

 Plagiarism

To prevent plagiarism, The Journal of Monetary and Financial Economics uses the Hamyab system for identifying the Persian articles.
